High quality theater craft for the web: SIRUP is responsible for the web adaption of “Eyjafjallajökull - Tam Tam”, directed by Robert Lehniger. The piece, which features the entire ensemble of the Munich Residenztheater, marks the start of the new season as well as the first production under the guidance of the theater's new artistic director.
At the center of the 'online stage' is a version of the theater piece filmed in HD. "Eyjafjallajökull - Tam Tam" explores the relationships between travelers stuck at an airport. More than 200 video tiles offer direct access to fullscreen versions of each individual scene. Each tile preview gives an impression of the numerous actors involved in the production and allows viewers to jump directly to the scene in the film with a single mouse click. Labyrinthine changes in perspective are a key part of the web concept. The preview tiles are rearranged each time the site reloads. Through this non-linear storytelling, a variable work of art is created that is always different. SIRUP integrated the complete film, more than three hours at HD quality, via Cloud Server especially for the web version.
This unique project has also been well received by the theater press. SIRUP can be proud of the 'Pick of the Week' distinction from the magazine "HORIZONT".
